Description: |
|
A vintage pair of Liberty of London animals. This well loved elephant and rhinoceros are part of a long history of leather animals first made for the buying public by the Liberty of London Department Store in the 1920's. Created by talented workers in the luggage departments from leather remnants these figures proved to be extremely popular. In the 1950's Dimitri and Inge Omersa took over the business and expanded the line into other animals.
