Cornish Staddle Stones Description: A charming near pair of 19th century English staddle stones hand carved from very hard and durable Cornish granite. Used originally to support small raised out buildings for the purpose of storing grains (see picture) their unique design also served a dual purpose of keeping out rodents and other vermin from gaining entry.
