19th CENTURY ENGLISH BOOT SCRAPER IN STONE Description: An impressive English Mid-19th century cast iron boot scraper with opposing griffins centered by a shell motif and set in a substantial block of natural stone. One side of the top ridge is cast with the name: W. Bullock & Co. The William Bullock and Company, Spon Lane Iron Foundry was founded in 1805 in West Bromwich and made a range of goods including, boot scrapers, door knockers, mail boxes and religious items for churches.
